Damaged, underinflated or worn tires make driving your vehicle dangerous. Don’t risk your safety or the safety of others on the road. Your wheels need scheduled maintenance, too, and your tires need to be replaced once they’re worn. Car Fix is tire specialists, and we can help you with the following.
You can knock your wheels out of alignment when you hit a curb, and we’ve all done that. Misaligned wheels wear down your tires and decrease vehicle control. They also affect your gas mileage. Bring your vehicle in for a wheel alignment if it pulls to one side. We’ll make the necessary adjustments to your alignment angle and check your tires, tire pressure, suspension and steering.
If you feel vibration when your vehicle picks up speed, your wheels need to be balanced. Balancing is done when new tires are installed but tire wear, rim movement, dirt or a bent wheel can affect wheel balance, too. We’ll remove the wheels to inspect them and also inspect the tires, their mounting and sealing. If necessary, we will balance your wheels so they don’t vibrate anymore.
If you need new tires, we have plenty in stock to choose from and we will mount them for you. We will then balance the wheels and check your alignment. We want you to drive away from our shop amazed at how well your vehicle handles. We also want to make sure your new tires reduce road noise. That depends in part on the tire itself, however, so keep that in mind when you make your selection.
If you’re concerned your tires need air, bring them by and we’ll check the tire pressure for you. We’ll add air to the tires that need it and also inspect each tire quickly to assess their condition. We might recommend new tires based on the tread wear, or we might recommend a tire rotation based on the wear patterns. Bring your vehicle in every other fuel refill for a tire pressure check.
Don’t panic if you picked up a nail. If you can, drive your vehicle to our shop and we’ll repair the tire for you. Provided the damage is repairable, we can repair a tire rather than replace it to save you money. If the damage is beyond repair, we’ll have to replace the tire. With our repair service, however, we should be able to fix it because we remove the tire, inspect it, fix the issue, remount it, and then balance it.
Your tires need to be rotated every 6,000 miles or at every other oil change. We can do both. We are a full-service auto repair shop, so we can change your oil and rotate your tires in one visit. Tire rotation prevents uneven tread, which extends the life of your tires. It also keeps your wheels balanced and prevents dangerous situations such as a tire blowout.
